Wow Joshua finally really TOOK OVER my Amanda’s Lemonade Stand and made it his own for the 17th Annual. Joshua is truly the CEO and decided to add something important to Amanda’s Lemonade Stand in anticipation of the 17th Annual event. Joshua was speaking to baseball Hall of Fame Legend Fergie Jenkins while waiting at the Rogers Centre for me and my 15 honoured and very special friends to help carry in the Pan Am Flag into the Opening Ceremonies. Joshua told Mr. Jenkins that he raises money and awareness to fix people’s hearts that were broken and then Fergie asked Joshua what happens to people whose hearts can’t be fixed…They then started talking about the importance of organ donations and about organ transplants and my brother quickly stated that his Amanda’s Lemonade Stand would help that too. He would tell people that they are helping to fix kids’ hearts that are broken and if they can’t be fixed, he will also help them to get a new one. After speaking to lots of people he decided to add 3 more important charities to the list which already included Sick Kids, Heart and Stroke and Save a Child’s Heart. Now he added raising much needed funds for The David Foster Foundation which helps the families that are dealing with kids requiring an organ transplant, he added raising awareness about the importance of becoming an organ donor by adding Trillium Gift of Life, and he added Canadian Blood Services which helps to fund research into the area of Organ Transplants
Way to Go Joshua for taking my Lemonade Stand to bigger and better heights – I’m so proud of You!!!!!
